Ryan Hawker grabs the cover of Kiwi Surf mag issue 124!

Piha ripper Ryan Hawker nailed the cover of Kiwi Surf mag issue 124, riding his custom Hughes Surfboards SB9 XTR!

Local legend ‘Emmerson Tucker’ claims this board has the perfect bottom curve. Not surprising really, as it’s been tweaked and refined over a period of time and has, under the feet of various surfers, won numerous contests, often in less than perfect conditions. This model, with its fuller outline, smooth even rocker and concaved bottom, has a straighter mid-section that ensures its flow. With its domed deck, clean curves and mid boxy rails, this board is fast, drivey and forgiving. Its overall form is just as suitable for big guys as the mini versions are for supergroms.
